Call your local MP's office and request a meeting with your MP so you can tell him or her face to face how this proposal has hurt you. (Some MPs don't pay as much attention to letters and e-mails.) Tell your family, friends and colleagues the facts about this issue and how it stands to personally affect them in the future. How much more they will have to save for retirement. Or the much lower income they will face in retiremnet. Right now most are unaware of this. Direct them to our website, or print off key pages and pass them along. The math is clear when people see it. Ask them to consider these issues before casting their vote in the next federal election.
Canadian retired and income investors can be a strong, effective force on this issue if we alldo something now to protect our future.
